SFR seeks to resell Premier League rights to other operators

Thursday 24 March 2016 | 11:45 CET | News
French operator SFR aims to resell rights to Premier League football to other pay TV service providers such as CanalSat, Bouygues, Orange and Free to recoup some of its investment, Les Echos reports. Altice COO and SFR CEO Michel Combes told the newspaper that premium rights are not intended to be held exclusively for SFR's own customers. Altice paid EUR 120 million a year for Premier League rights, compared to EUR 63 million paid by the previous rights holder Canal Plus.
