SFR sells Numeo to NomoTech

SFR Development has sold Wi-Fi and WiMAX ISP Numeo to its competitor NomoTech. Both companies operate in places ADSL does not reach. The merged entity will use the brand Ozone, originally belonging to a rival NomoTech acquired last year and already adopted for all its WISP services by NomoTech in February. It is now present in 55 French counties, giving it a national scale. It has an around 50 percent market share in rural and mountainous areas poorly served by broadband networks. NomoTech launched its WifiMax service based on MIMO technology at the end of 2010. It delivers up to 18 Mbps
