SFR said that its LTE services were available to 98 percent of the French population as of 01 November. Coverage in sparsely populated areas reached 90 percent, meeting the target set by Arcep three years ahead of the regulatory deadline. As an 800 MHz licence holder, the operator had committed to bring LTE connectivity to 90 percent of rural communities by 17 January 2022, representing 22,500 municipalities (18% of the country's population and 63% of its land mass).
