Showmax says viewing trends affected by Covid-19

African online streaming service Showmax says the Covid-19 outbreak has significantly affected viewing behaviour, with "play events" now more than double pre-crisis peaks.  Showmax said the number of unique active users, or number of people who use a service on a given day, has changed. For Showmax, this number typically follows a weekly pattern with lulls on Wednesday and Thursday, then building from Friday to a peak on Sunday.
