Sierra Wireless appoints new board members under deal with shareholder Lion Point

Sierra Wireless has made some changes to its board of directors after inking an agreement with shareholder Lion Point Capital, which holds a 9.4 percent stake in the company. The idea is to "unlock value in the connected economy," the company said. Under the deal, Sierra will increase the number of board members, and appoint three new independent directors, two recommended by Lion Point, and one recommended by itself.
