Sigma Designs introduces G.hn Prime for powerline networking

Sigma Designs has introduced G.hn Prime, its latest advancement in powerline technology for the Sigma G.hn CG5300 and CG5200 series chipsets. G.hn Prime-enabled chipsets can be used in stand-alone bridges, set-top boxes, residential gateways, TVs and even as their own power supplies. G.hn technology offers a standard for connecting networked devices over any existing wired infrastructure (powerline, coax and phone line) in the home. The G.hn Prime technology from Sigma Designs further enhances the performance of its new single-chip low-power CG5300 family SoCs and can also increase throughput
