Sign2Pay raises financing for digital signature service

The Flemish start-up Sign2Pay has raised EUR 105,000 in a second financing round, after earlier in 2014 receiving EUR 500,000 from private investors. Sign2Pay allows online sellers to confirm transactions with customers through a digital signature on a tablet or smartphone, rather than using passwords or the code readers common among Belgian banks. Founder Nicolas Mertens told Emerce the system is in line with the European payment standard SEPA. The company started offering the digital signature services in November 2014. Various web shops are using the service already, and talks are underway
