Silicon Line raises EUR 8.2 mln in Series B funding round

Silicon Line raised EUR 8.2 million (USD 9.5 million) in a Series B financing round led by Capital-E. Additional investors in the Series B round include LRM, Munich Venture Partners and Unixtar. The financing will be used to ramp-up production of the company's optical modules – tiny circuit boards inside cable connectors; upgrades to the company's module factory located in Hasselt, Belgium; the hiring of additional design engineers, as well as opening of local customer support offices in Asia.
