Si.mobil Q1 profit boosted by Telekom settlement

Slovenian mobile operator Si.mobil reported EUR 43.4 million in revenues for the first quarter of 2015, down 13.8 percent on the EUR 50.4 million in Q1 2014. EBITDA grew by 110.3 percent to EUR 31.7 million, thanks to EUR 20 million received from its settlement of legal disputes with Telekom Slovenije. EBIT jumped 168 percent to EUR 26.1 million. ARPU was down by 20 percent year-on-year to EUR 15.80, while mobile subscribers were up 1 percent over the same period to 684,400. Compared to the fourth quarter, Si.mobil added almost 3,000 new customers, while ARPU was down sharply from EUR 19.1.
