Singtel connects Cloud Access platform to Alibaba Cloud

Monday 19 June 2017 | 11:26 CET | News
Singapore operator Singtel has partnered with Alibaba Cloud to connect Singtel's Cloud Access service to Alibaba Cloud, allowing enterprises worldwide to access its cloud applications. The Singtel Cloud Access service is based on Singtel's IP VPN with 428 PoP around the world. The service is designed to allow enterprises to access cloud applications through a private network, rather than internet-based connections which are vulnerable to disruptions, Singtel says. Singtel will first roll out the cloud access service in Singapore and Hong Kong, before expanding it to the US and Europe.
