SingTel participates in home-based working trial

Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has been awarded a pilot programme to help companies use technology and services to offer home-based work for their employees by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA). For the pilot, SingTel will form an eight-member consortium to demonstrate the viability of home-based work as a solution to manpower needs. Technologies that will be trialled include: fibre-optimised unified communications, online storage and collaboration applications, cloud-based call centre technologies, and an e-learning platform.
