Siportal to expand Wimax infrastructure

Italian telecommunications provider Siportal announced it plans to expands its Wimax infrastructure, which currently uses unlicensed frequency bands. The company plans to activate 100 new points with Wimax services by 2014. In addition, the operator has decided to develop services for the security industry, including video surveillance with recording and cloud storage. The service may be accompanied by connectivity provided by Siportal and allows customers to store all the data recorded by the cameras on remote servers of Siportal, without the need for a DVR.
