Sirius Telecoms to launch MVNO services in Senegal by June

Sirius Telecoms plans to introduce commercial services by June, becoming the first MVNO in Senegal, reports Cio Mag. Owned by local business tycoon Mbackiou Faye, the company secured one of the three MVNO licences awarded by the country in 2017. Faye attended a meeting with telecom regulator ARTP and network partner Tigo Senegal on 31 January, in which he announced the forthcoming launch of mobile plans and stated that he was committed to reducing the cost of calls and data for end-users.
