Siro withdraws from Ireland's National Broadband Plan

Wednesday 27 September 2017 | 10:49 CET | News
Siro, fibre network JV between Vodafone Ireland and utility ESB, has withdrawn from Ireland's National Broadband Plan (NBP) tender process. In a statement, the company said that it had been unable to develop a competitive business case to justified continued participation in the bid process. Siro's original plan to build a 1 Gbps broadband network in 50 regional towns across Ireland remains unaffected by this decision.
