SK Telecom aims to acquire iRiver

South Korean telecommunications operator SK Telecom has submitted a letter of intent to acquire compatrior digital audio players maker  iRiver, The Korea Times reports. The letter of intent was submitted to Vogo Fund, the largest stakeholder of the company. Two Japanese audio manufacturers and a South Korean private equity fund also took part in the bidding for iRiver. This week, SK Telecom signed an agreement for the sales and manufacture of portable Wi-Fi audio and related services with Anam Electronics. The new audio product is likely to be introduced in the Korean market in December this
