SK Telecom taps Nokia, Ericsson for 5G network upgrade, 6G R&D

South Korean mobile operator SK Telecom has announced that it has selected equipment makers Nokia and Ericsson for the upgrade of its commercial 5G network and the development of technologies related to 6G, Yonhap news agency reports. SK Telecom, as well as its market competitors LG Uplus and KT, commercially launched 5G services in April this year. SK Telecom used Nokia and Ericsson equipment for its 5G rollout.
