Sky announces new Kids Safe Mode for Sky Q customers in UK

Thursday 14 March 2019 | 17:10 CET | News

Sky has announced the launch of a new 'Kids Safe Mode' feature on Sky Q in the UK, designed to provide a safe space for children to watch child-friendly TV at home.

The new feature will allow parents to lock their Sky Q box in the Kids section by selecting the 'Kids Safe Mode' setting and entering their PIN. Once this is activated, all non-children's content will be blocked including live TV channels, on-demand shows, recordings and apps.

Kids Safe Mode will roll out to Sky Q customers from spring 2019. It will be complemented by a new parents guide set for launch later in 2019 from Sky and Common Sense Media.
