Sky commissions two original dramas for later this year

Sky announced that it will air two original dramas this year. Birthday, written by Joe Penhall and starring Stephen Mangan, will be carried on Sky Arts. The drama is adapted from Penhall's sell-out 2012 Royal Court play and is directed by Roger Michell. It tells the story of Mangan's character Ed, who is waiting for a caesarean operation with his high-flying executive wife at his side. The Five to be aired on Sky Living, is Harlan Coben's first original story for TV.
