Sky Germany says pay-TV viewers more receptive to ads

Friday 24 October 2014 | 13:40 CET | News
Sky Germany said television content makes a greater impression on a pay-TV audience than on free-to-air viewers, and advertising is more likely to have an effect when viewers have decided for themselves what they are going to watch. The broadcaster cited the BetterViewer study. It said Sky subscribers are significantly more passionate about their viewing and value watching TV as an activity. They tend to be more discerning about the quality of what they choose to see. This receptiveness and their brand-consciousness means advertising has a great impact on this target group.
