Sky Germany sued for not observing statutory withdrawal time

Friday 18 September 2015 | 11:18 CET | News
The Hamburg consumer association is suing Sky for not granting the statutory withdrawal period to a customer who cancelled their contract within the time limit. Sky justified the refusal by saying that it had already provided digital content to the user at the time of the registration, so the right of cancellation expired prematurely. The company added that it notified the consumer in a welcome email that they would lose the right to cancel with the transfer of the personal access authorisation, namely the Sky PIN.
