Sky Italia, Eutelsat test live 4K at MotoGp

Sky Italia and Eutelsat have tested live transmissions in 4K during the MotoGp at the Autodromo di Misano Adriatico. The tests proved that the supply chain is ready to provide TV channels with a 4K signal from live events via satellite. The transmission of the signal, carried out for three consecutive days and lasting more than nine hours each day, was received by an antenna of 2.4 meters, four Ericsson RX 8200 receivers and displayed on a 4K screen placed at the Eutelsat stand at IBC, which for the operation provided satellite capacity on the Eutelsat 5 West A satellite.
