Sky Italia revenues up 13% in September quarter

Italian pay-TV provider Sky Italia reported revenues up 13 percent to GBP 610 million on a constant currency basis in its first quarter to end September, compared to GBP in the year-earlier quarter. The result marks the company's highest Q1 revenue growth in the Italian market since 2009 following the 6 percent rise posted in the three months to June. The company provided no subscriber numbers in the update but said advertising revenues were up 17 percent thanks in part to the contribution from the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament and its TV8 free-to-air channel, whose audiences doubled year on
