Sky Italia sues local regulator for favouring Mediaset

News Corp's Italian pay-television unit Sky Italia has filed a complaint at a court in Lazio against the national telecommunications regulator Agcom for allegedly favouring former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's media company Mediaset, writes BusinessWeek citing a Sky spokesman. Sky is seeking about EUR 100 million (USD 130 million) in damages. The regulator is accused of blocking Sky's efforts in the advertising market by imposing rules that, since 2011, have favoured Mediaset, according to two people familiar with the lawsuit who asked not to be identified because of the ongoing
