Sky lifts revenues 6% in H1 boosted by all regions

Sky said revenues for its fiscal first half to end December rose 6 percent from the year earlier at constant currency to GBP 5.72 billion, boosted by all regions but especially Germany & Austria (+10%) and Italy (+9%). Revenues from the UK & Ireland went up 5 percent. Group operating profit fell 9 percent to GBP 679 million, after absorbing GBP 314 million in Premier League costs. Earnings per share slid 5 percent lower to 28.3 pence while EBITDA reached GBP 1.009 million from 1.067 million the year before. As part of its proposed takeover by 21st Century Fox, Sky will not pay any dividends
