Sky opens TV production studio for schools

British Sky Broadcasting has opened the new Sky Skills Studio, a dedicated educational facility which will invite up to 12,000 young people per year to experience a behind-the-scenes TV production environment. Sky Skills Studios will be used by students aged 8-18 from across the UK and Ireland. The aim is to inspire young people to learn more about TV production, as well as help develop and build important life skills such as creativity, communication, problem solving and team work. They will be given the chance to write, shoot and edit their own television report in one of four simulated
