Sky, TalkTalk, ISPs ask Ofcom to split Openreach from BT

UK ISPs Sky and TalkTalk have responded to regulator Ofcom's announcement that it was opening up an overarching review of telecommunication markets to call for breaking up the relationship between BT and Openreach. Sky CEO Jeremy Darroch said Openreach and BT were at the heart of creating a sustainable industry enabling mobile operators to compete. TalkTalk CEO Dido Harding said A fully independent Openreach focused exclusively on infrastructure would be incentivised to maximise coverage and improve quality of service for customers.
