Sky Television posts FY loss after goodwill writedown, drop in subscribers

New Zealand pay-TV provider Sky Television reported a net loss of NZD 240.7 million for the fiscal year to June, after writing down the value of goodwill. Excluding the charge, underlying net profit rose 2.6 percent to NZD 119.3 million, driven by a reduction in operating costs. Revenue fell 6 percent to NZD 839.7 million on fewer subscribers and lower ARPU.
