Slim confirms America Movil's interest in cable TV business

Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, owned of Mexican telecoms operator America Movil, confirmed the company's interest in offering cable TV services in the Mexican market in the future, El Financiero reports. Slim also said that the telco will not take part in a tender process through which the government plans to auction two new TV channels. America Movil has 14 million pay-TV subscribers across Latin America.
