Slovakia completes awards of 3.7 GHz licences

Tuesday 3 October 2017 | 15:10 CET | News
Slovak regulator RU has completed the awards of regional frequencies for providing broadband services in the band 3600 – 3800 MHz (3.7 GHz) based on the results of the series of electronic auctions. Slovakia is the first European country to complete awards in the bands 3.5 GHz and 3.7 GHz and the operators build LTE networks, too. Slovakia and the Czech Republic are among the first countries awarding frequencies from the band 3.7 GHz and Slovakia is until now the only country which has awarded local frequencies.
