Wednesday 15 November 2017 | 13:58 CET | News
Slovak Parliament's Constitutional Committee has approved the draft amendment of the Act on Electronic Communications. It will now proceed to vote in the plenary session, reported TASR. The amendment introduces new ways of contacting the single European emergency number 112. People with hearing disabilities will now be able to contact the number also via SMS. In addition, the amendment introduces provisions on the eCall system, allowing people to call the emergency number in case of a car accident and providing also necessary data on the car to make the rescue action more efficient.
