Slovenia defence minister quits over Telekom Slovenije row

Monday 30 March 2015 | 16:00 CET | News
Slovenia's Prime Minister Miro Cerar has ordered his defence minister Janko Veber to quit in a row over the privatization of Telekom Slovenije, reports Reuters. Veber has been accused of ordering the army's secret service to analyse the possible security implications of the sale. Cerar insisted that the sale of Telekom Slovenije would continue as planned. However, political analyst Tanja Staric told Reuters she expects that the development would certainly delay the sale of Telekom Slovenije, which had been expected to be completed within weeks.
