SLT Group's H1 operating profit jumps 55%, net profit up 31%

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) Group saw its operating profit jump 55 percent year-on-year to LKR 6.9 billion in the first half of 2020. The Group revenue reached LKR 44.1 billion during the first six months of 2020, which represents a growth of 3.6 percent year-on-year, primarily due to the relief packages and free data offers to customers by SLT and its mobile arm Mobitel to assist customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
