Smart waste sensor installations to grow from 379,000 worldwide in 2018 to 1.5 mln in 2023

The installed base of smart waste sensors reached 379,000 worldwide in 2018, according to M2M and IoT market research company Berg Insight. It expects compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30.8 percent to 1.5 million in 2023. LPWA technologies accounted for only 20 percent of installations in 2018 but this is expected to exceed 50 percent by 2023.
