Smartfren, Athonet launch LTE network for coal mine in Indonesia

Smartfren Indonesia, in partnership with Athonet, have commercially launch a dedicated LTE network for a coal mine in Indonesia. The network is designed to deliver LTE services for the digital mine and Industry 4.0. The mine implemented a communications network for a digital mine, leveraging a dedicated LTE network from Smartfren powered by the Athonet mobile core network. In addition to providing coverage for the digital mine, the network also brings LTE coverage for data and voice to the local population.
