Smartphone shipments decline again in Q3, by 7.2% - Canalys

Friday 9 November 2018 | 16:38 CET | News
Smartphone shipments in the third quarter fell 7.2 percent from the year before to 348.9 million units, the fourth consecutive quarter of decline, according to Canalys. Seven out of the top ten markets experienced lower shipments, with markets depressed by lengthening smartphone replacement cycles, worsening international trading conditions and competition from major Chinese vendors. Of the top 10, only Indonesia, Russia and Germany witnessed shipment increases.
