Smartphones make Irish consumers feel connected, safe - study

Three quarters (76%) of Irish consumers use smartphones to shop online once a month, with 22 percent of 25-34 year olds spending EUR 100-EUR 500 per month, according to the first edition of the four-part 'Connected Ireland Report' from 3 Ireland. The report shows that less than half (42%) of these purchases are made from Irish websites, and 38 percent of consumers have interacted with a customer service agent while shopping online on their phone.
