Softbank invests in VR startup Improbable Worlds

Friday 12 May 2017 | 09:20 CET | News
UK virtual reality startup Improbable Worlds has raised USD 502 million in a funding round led by Softbank, Bloomberg reported. The valuation was not disclosed but SoftBank is buying a non-controlling stake, which would mean Improbable is worth at least USD 1.04 billion. Andreessen Horowitz, Horizon Ventures and Temasek Holdings, which participated in a USD 22 million investment round in Improbable in March 2015, are also committing new funds.
