SoftBank, Sprint, Far EasTone, TBCASoft launch blockchain consortium for telecom operators

Japan's SoftBank, US-based Sprint, Taiwanese operator Far EasTone Telecommunications and US-based TBCASoft have launched a blockchain consortium dubbed the Carrier Blockchain Study Group (CBSG). In the future, more telecom operators will be invited to participate in the CBSG on a global scale, SoftBank said. SoftBank, Sprint and TBCASoft have also demonstrated a cross-carrier payment platform system that uses TBCASoft's blockchain technology.
