SoftBank to acquire Fortress Investment for USD 3.3 bln

SoftBank Group has agreed to acquire Fortress Investment Group for approximately USD 3.3 billion in cash. The merger agreement has already been unanimously approved by Fortress's board of directors. Fortress will operate within SoftBank as an independent business headquartered in New York, and SoftBank plans to maintain Fortress' leadership, business model, brand, personnel, processes and culture.
