Sogedo to use Sigfox IoT networks for smart meters

Tuesday 3 November 2015 | 15:11 CET | News
French water distribution company Sogedo has announced plans to develop new service innovations in cooperation with Sigfox, including automatic remote water-meter reading and real-time analysis of usage data for customers. By using Sigfox's wireless IoT network to collect data from water pipes, water meters and other equipment, Sogedo willallow local authorities to monitor their networks in real time, optimize infrastructure management and respond immediately to emergency situations such as pipeline leaks. The system will also help users manage their water consumption and expenses.
