Some 23% of French use mobiles only for calls, SMS

Around 23 percent of French people only use their mobile phone for calls and SMS/MMS, according to an Ipsos survey in March for low-cost mobile operator Prixtel, which argues that mobile data tariffs available on the market are larger than consumers actually use. According to the survey 37 percent of mobile internet users consume less than 1 GB a month, 26 percent between 1 and 3 GB, 12 percent between 3 and 6 GB, and 3 percent more than 6 GB. Some 55 percent of mobile data users browse the internet and use social networks, 41 percent read their e-mail and only 4 percent watch videos. The
