Some 40% of Germans show interest in smartwatches

Four out of ten Germans, which is equivalent to 28 million potential users, are interested in a smartwatch, according to a recent survey conducted on behalf of IT association Bitkom. Two years ago it was only 31 percent. Some 14 percent currently want to use such a device while 26 percent are considering it. More than half of young people between 14 and 29 years (56%) have shown an interest.
