Some 63% of Canadians to own smart home devices - survey

Some 63 percent of Canadians expect to own at least one smart home device, such as a smart TV, thermostat, lighting, appliance, entry or security system by 2018, and half of those expect to own three or more, according to a survey by MARU/VCR&C for telecom operator Telus. The study also found that 34 percent of respondents currently own a smart home device, with smart TVs and thermostats being the two most popular categories at 65 percent and 36 percent, respectively.
