Sony improves FY outlook as recovery in TV, films offsets Playstation 5 losses

Sony has slightly upgraded its full-year outlook, as improving results at its motion pictures, music and camera components businesses help to offset a lacklustre performance for the new Playstation and games. The revenue outlook was increased by JPY 200 billion to JPY 9.9 trillion for the year to March 2022, implying around 10 percent growth. That compares to first-half sales up 14 percent.
