Sony Music chief wants YouTube, Gema to settle dispute

Sony Music is hoping for an end to the dispute between YouTube and German copyright organisation Gema. In an interview with the 'Financial Times Deutschland', Sony Music Germany chief Edgar Berger said that he hoped that the Vevo and Spotify digital music services will launch in Germany in 2011. The Vevo platform is operated by major record labels Universal Music, Sony and EMI, together with more than 100 other record labels and YouTube.
