Sony to launch kids channel Pop in Italy

Sony Pictures Television Networks (SPTN) has announced that its popular kids channel Pop will be the broadcaster's first free-to-air TV channel in Italy when it launches next month. The channel will take the place of NekoTV starting on 04 May following its acquisition from TBS last month. Targeted at children aged six to nine, Pop has aired in the UK since 2003 and has grown to become part of the UK's number 1 commercial kids channel portfolio. Its catalogue will feature franchises such as Power Rangers, Transformers and Kuu Kuu Harajuku, many of which are completely new for Italian FTA
