South Africa to issue final spectrum award policy by end-April

The government of South Africa says it will issue the final policy directive on spectrum allocation by the end of April. The move follows an earlier meeting between ICT minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and stakeholders in the ICT industry to deliberate and finalise consultations on their interpretation of the spectrum licencing process as defined by the law. The meeting also follows on written submissions previously made by the sector on the matter.
