South Africa to spend ZAR 1.9 bln on broadband

South Africa's National Treasury has allocated ZAR 1.9 billion over the medium term for broadband implementation to provide internet throughout the country, reports ITWeb. Finance minister Pravin Gordhan tabled the 2017 budget in Parliament on 22 February and said it prioritises both national and provincial economic infrastructure requirements, of which broadband is an integral part.
