South African court allows Telkom to make workers redundant

Tuesday 10 March 2020 | 11:03 CET | News
Telkom South Africa has received the go-ahead to continue redundancies, as Johannesburg's Labour Court dismissed an application by two unions for an interdict to pause it, The Citizen reported. The application was filed by the Communication Workers Union (CWU) and the South African Communication Union (SACU). They approached that court last month after Telkom started issuing staff with voluntary exit packages.
