South African government signs ICT investment MoU with South Sudan

South Africa and South Sudan have agreed to a renewed MoU governing ICT investment and sector development between the two countries, reports ITWeb. South African Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams held a meeting with her South Sudanese counterpart, the deputy minister of ICT Lily Albino Akol, to confirm the development. The MoU must still be reviewed for legal compliance but Ndabeni-Abrahams said that the deal calls for strategic partnerships between ICT institutions in both the public and private sectors.
